Margherita Grassi Catapano
Partner
Margherita specialises in telecommunications law, digital markets and commercial litigation.
She advises institutional clients and SMEs on contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolution and, more generally, on the legal issues arising from their business activities.
She also assists companies with corporate compliance programmes, with particular expertise in the preparation and updating of organisational, management and control models pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 231/2001.
Her current areas of focus include the legal implications of artificial intelligence for businesses, particularly in relation to liability, contractual matters and the emerging litigation risks associated with the use of AI systems.
Before co-founding WLex, Margherita led her own law firm, managing a team of around ten professionals. Over the years, she has developed long-standing relationships with institutional clients and businesses, advising them both on their day-to-day legal needs and in complex litigation matters.
Margherita has been admitted to the Milan Bar since 2001. She graduated in Law from the University of Milan in 1997.

Francesca Sutti
Partner
Francesca is specialized in Consumer protection, Competition law, EU law and Regulatory in given sectors such as Lifescience, Chemical, Digital markets and Energy.
Compliance also means respecting Sustainability and ESG with the due diligence. Francesca works with passion on these matters, as based on principles she firmly believes in.
Francesca is particularly interested in personal development skills and, for instance, in 2020 she attended the course "Empathy and emotional intelligence at work" (University of California, Berkeley).
Before establishing WLex she was the head of the EU, Competition law and Regulatory practice in highly reputed international law firms.
In 2009 she was admitted to the Bruxelles Bar and in 1998 she was admitted to the Milan Bar.
In 1995/1996 she worked as a Rechtsreferendarin in Germany.
Francesca graduated at the Università degli studi of Milan in 1995 (magna cum laude).
She speaks Italian, English, German, French and Spanish.
Recognized for years in prestigious Italian and international legal directories, in 2025 she has been awarded 'Lawyer of the Year – EU & Competition' at the Legalcommunity Italian Awards.

Paola Furini
Of Counsel
Paola is specialized in Insolvency Law. She is a bankruptcy trustee in several insolvency proceedings and a delegate to the executive procedures for the Court of Milan.
She is a member of the ADGI (Associazione Donne Giuriste Italia) and of the ACM (Associazione Concorsualisti Milanesi).
She is also a member of the Committee of Insolvency Proceedings and of the Council of the Milan Bar.
In 1996 she was admitted to the Milan Bar.
Paola graduated at Università degli studi of Milan in 1995.

Patrizia Pietramale
Of Counsel
Patrizia has been working with the Insolvency Court of Milan for over twenty years both as Bankruptcy Trustee and as Judicial Commissioner.
She offers legal assistance in the company defaults area as well as in the new overindebtedness corporate crisis and debt restructuring.
She is co-founder and a member of the directors’ Board of the ACM (Associazione Concorsualisti Milanesi).
She is a member of the S.I.S.C.O. (Società Italia Studi Concorsuali)
In 1998 she was admitted to the Milan Bar.
She graduated at Università degli studi of Milan in 1991.

Manuela Bianchi
Of Counsel
Manuela has more than twenty years' experience in corporate compliance, with a particular focus on data protection and corporate criminal liability under Legislative Decree No. 231/2001.
She advises clients on new technologies law, with particular expertise in artificial intelligence, data governance and cybersecurity.
She serves as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for corporate clients.
Manuela is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Genoa, where she teaches Information Technology and Law (Computer Engineering Degree Programme) and Business and Legal Fundamental (Computer Science Degree Programme).
She is also a Teaching Fellow in Legal Informatics at the University of Milan.
She lectures on the Master's programme for in-house counsel at Alma Laboris Business School, teaching Data Protection and Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, and at the Scuola Etica Digitale, where she delivers training on AI literacy in accordance with the AI act.
A memebr of ENIA - the Italian National Artificial Intelligence Association, Manuela serves as Co-Coordinator of the Governance and Responsible AI Working Group within its Scientific and Technical Committee. She also contributes to the drafting of a governance protocol for regulatory sandboxes.
She is the author of numerous academic and professional publications. She co-authored Digital Skills for Lawyers: IT Competencies and the Teaching of New Technologies Law (edited by Professors G. Ziccardi and P. Perri, Giuffrè, 2022) and the Legal Tech Dictionary (Giuffrè, 2020).
She is fluent in Italian and English.

Serena Vadalà
Associate
Serena is litigator within mobile and banking sectors.
Before joining WLex, she worked in an historic Law Firm based in Milan and dealing with civil law.
Serena has been a member of the Milan Bar since January 2022 and she graduated form the University of Milan in 2018.
In 2017, she carried out research within the framework of the Erasmus program at the Universidad del Paìs Vasco aimed at working a comparative thesis on gender quality.

Christian Cozzi
Associate
Christian deals with insurance and banking law.
Before joining WLex, Christian worked for two years in a fiduciary study of a primary insurance company, maturing a consolidated experience in the field of professional responsibility, with particular reference to the areas of town planning and company law.
He provides assistance and defence in these areas, both at national and regional level, in the management of ante litem litigation, which
judicial proceedings, in the context of special summary proceedings and ordinary proceedings on the merits.
Christian has been a member of the Milan Bar Association since 2020.
He graduated from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan in 2017.
